Thank's for that Maddy. Today is partial water change day, so I'll see if he pick's up after that.

got a bloody big 'oscar' he chases me when ever i go near it, and some times sulks and goes of its food, so yep we starve it and put some feeder fish in [guppies/swordtails and the like] after a couple of weeks the intruders are usually decimated and old mate is back to hooking in to its bloodworms and pellets, the bloody fish even chases the dogs when they walk past his tank [ tank is 8ft by 2ftx2.6 deep, bloody fish is more spoilt than me!

That's a big tank to have Nedwalk, not just home to an oscar is it?

Jaiyenyen, perhaps you could try a few feeder fish too?

yea mate bloody huge and only 1 fish its the missus's baby, we tried to introduce others but the oscar was not having a bar of it.. we got a couple of other tanks as well with other fish about 5ft in length [her pets] i reckon they are all about pan size and i get slapped when i mention it, but they are all thriving, all little buggers about an inch long when the arrived, so they,ve grown quite a bit, the oscar does grab everyones attention though when they visit, its a stalker you walk past it and half a chance it,ll have ya

I kept an Oscar a few years ago, when I was back in the UK.
He was a mean bastard.
I loved him though.

How about a shoal of Tinfoil Barbs? Very quick moving so should be able to keep out of the Oscars way in that large tank, and they add a lot of life to the aquarium as well. Very cheap and easy to find in Thailand also as they are a native fish.

Up-date
Thanks guys for the info and links.

Well, the battle of wills continue and I have his number now, he is on pellets at the moment but shows his disdain for them but when I walk away from the tank he gets into them. Occasionally he gets live prawns as well as the odd feeder fish when the GF is not looking but all in all he seems OK.
