What is your pissed to sober posting ratio?
    I would guess pretty high.

Perhaps if you stick to just one of the beverages you might be able to obtain sponsorship or at least be able to negotiate a bulk price. Every little helps.

Personally when I am pissed I want to go nowhere near the computer

Next time get yourself a good Irish whiskey.
Where I come from we reserve Irish Whiskey for putting in other people's coffee, and cleaning glue off glass.

^well said Itchy - Irish whisky in so obviously inferior to a good Scotch or Bourbon IMO

I should stay away from the computer , Troubled, whilst under the influence - but alas, it just draws me in

I've noticed my local ASDA (supermarket) are doing a cheap deal on Jim Beam Black (8yrs old) - only £13 a bottle (usually £18) - any good?

Its a matter of taste really, i find Scotch to be a little harsh, scotch may be a bit more fragrent but i prefer the taste of Irish whiskey.
Irish Whiskey is made with malt dried in a kiln which has a solid floor, thus disallowing the smoke from whatever fuel is used to come in contact with the grain. This eliminates the "smoky" taste you will find in Scotch and allows Irish whiskey to be smoother.

my top three irish whiskeys are RedBreast, Knappogue and Middleton, they may not be very easy for you to pick up as we like to keep our best whiskey in the country for ourselves.

You can drink any old shite if you are mixing it with coke.

fair enough Flash - I don't mind Irish whisky but I am a fan of the smoky tasting Scotch.

I just like my whisky neat and to be 40% vol.

This is a mean spirited thread!
I just had to go out an buy a bottle of Jamesons..... to lift my spirits.
All this talk of single malts and tasting the Jamesons(almost too smooth) is probably going to make me part with the money for a good single malt soon.

tonight I've got a new single malt: Glenfiddich 'Caoran Reserve' - 12 yr old

this is good shit - just had a smoke of the 'ol ganga to enhance the lushness

this is a nice smoky whisky - supposedly it's a taste of bygone days in Scotland

I'm a great fan of Glenfiddich as it goes - one of my first whisky loves was the Glenfiddich

    how is everyone tonight?

I love jamesons and I cant believe how cheap it is in thailand. Last time I checked it was 550 baht.

We had our staff Christmas party last night. great fun, the wife catered and we went lawn bowling! Big night.

Jim Beam Black, Not a Bad Bourbon.
There are quite few better ones; maybe not in that price range though.
The 86 proof is watered down from it cask strength (99+% whiskeys are).

Cask strength or single barrel Wild Turkey. Now that's a nice sippin' whiskey. (from the tone of your posts I am not imaginng you sippin' though.)
