I like Coopers Ale. That explains the cloudy look to the ice beer pic.

Cooper's is ok. Doesn't hold the shadow of a candle to VB though IMO - the only Aussie beer that holds real international class.

SYDNEY, Australia - Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her fiance, country music star Keith Urban, used a very Australian gift to soothe the paparazzi camped outside her Sydney home Tuesday ahead of their expected weekend wedding — a case of cold beer. *It was VB*

After staking out Kidman’s harborside Sydney house for most of the day, some 20 photographers heard her garage door start to open and quickly armed themselves with motor-drive cameras.

But instead of a shot of the bride and groom before the wedding day, the paparazzi were met by two women carrying a case of beer and water bottles.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

The best Aussie beer I've tasted is Crown Lager. It doesn't say much for the state of the brewing industry down there.

You should have tried one of the Cooper's dark beers.
I know you're not keen on lagers as it is.

Boag's is a Tasmanian lager and I put it at the best beer I've had. Cooper's Pale Ale is very nice. In WA they have an OK wheat beer called 'RedBack' and then if I'm desperate I'd drink a Crown.

The big breweries knock out some distasteful crap and an Aussie beer's quality is generally rated on how few 'nasties' each beer has not how good it is.

XXXX, Tooheys, Swan, VB are really second rate. I bet the Thais would love them!

I am waiting on a phone call and don't want to start anything else in the mean time.

I will actually be back over in 6 weeks time.

I was surprised you didn't push me in klong sap last month where we had dinner!

    What's funny and quite sad,

Is that in the U.S. Foster has this big campaign on commercials in the states.

    "Foster: Australian for beer."

Some Americans think Foster is the good Australian beer.

When I tell an Aussie this they laugh.
