i'm guessing that archer beer is now called cheers cus they are both only good for putting fires out.
heineken is for tourists and rich hi-so thais. tastes like pish with the power of a soggy beer mat. singha, leo, tiger.average
chang is, was, and looks like always will be the king of thai beers. the secret is to tip a tiny bit of sa prite into it (and no, that is not a shandy, all you "he" men), and lots of ice.
best beer in s.e.a. however.........angkor stout. black, delish and pretty strong, but i only drank it in sihanookville. i think it cost around 25 baht (in cambodian curr.) for a large bottle.

    Lovebucket,

I agree with you, chang is the only answer.

No.. it's two different beers. I actually quite like Archa Beer, it's a change, when I can get it, but Chang is number 1

I found that out the hard way. 5% Chang is not good.

The Londoner on Suk Soi 33 brews it own beer, but it is tastes like piss.

Tawan Daeng brews good beer, and the food & entertainment is good value for money, too.

I am sure there are others - anyone?

Ah, you'll be disappointed. BlueCat likes to start these sorts of topics but they are way to draw other posters into debate. BC himself rarely gives anything away about himself (note his "how much to live in Thailand" thread).

You see, on asiaexpat there are no posters so Blue Cat has to do all the leg work himself by starting such threads. Thanksfully here there does not seem to be such a problem with generating interesting topics.

If he doesn't come over here and explain this minute, I'm going to throw a hissy fit and give him a red one.

I thought it tasted more along the lines of dirty dishwater, I'm not telling how I know how that tastes.

I'd be interested to find out who you are selling to, so I could buy some. Beer Lao is a superb brew, and I would love to get my hands on a few bottles.

As for foreign beers, I thought something like Stella or Val Dieu would rank quite high. Well, 'foreign' in Thailand.
