You elders do have age and wisdom though (some mind you).

We youngsters have so much learning to do.

Indeed it was! Ice cream can be a deadly thing.

When i first came over 2-3 small beers a night and an occasional session.
Now I go out far less sometimes only once a week but become the poster boy for binge drinking.
Have never kept booze in the house

Hmmm, vaguely familar thread. Looks like somebody might have a partner for a 12 step program.

It is for me. I used to drink almost every night when I was in my 20's, but now if I get drunk I will suffer for two days.

Didja ever have one of those hangovers where you wake up and say to yourself "gawd... I'm never doing that again"? I get older (and wiser) I've started listening to myself!

I only drink one or maybe two nights amonth now- when I know I have no commitments or nothing planned for the next day. Love to smoke- doesn't leave me f*cked up the next day. But - don't do that much anymore because I get paranoid trying to buy it- can't ever seem to find a safe and sane way to get my hands on it!

I don't find the hangovers any worse as i get older. It never was a particular problem for me. Howver I am finding the depression after a heavy session lasts longer - days now.
I was always a happy drunk
