Ferk, trolling mods have ruined my thread!!!

Anyway, here a classic from the Phils:

Ginebra San Miguel - the working man's staple drink. 80 proof and comes in four sizes, the 1.5 l "Grande" is only 80 Pesos (65 Baht) and comes handy for those looong election weekends. Here the 250 ml version, which makes a decent primer for a night out.

Don't be put off by the smell of turps and medical alc, it really is quite drinkable.

Hangover: do not mix with soft drinks.

I'd recommend to stay clear of most local whiskies in Laos, with a couple of exceptions:

Lao Det is a classic rice spirit and standard booze in Laos, 4000 kip (15bt) for the small bottle.

This "white jum pa" is surprisingly smooth and has a flowery bouquet - unexpected from rice liquor, but this one is made from ordinary rice, not sticky rice like most rice spirits. Very affordable at 8.000 kip.

    Zero hangover from both.

No, no, no, nothing to do with purchasing power.
It is just that we drink far less.
And hence can afford to drink more expensive and far better beers...

You mean you don't get a hangover, what about people with a normal drinking habit?
