| Coopers Sparkling Ale (Australia) I popped down to Carrefour again tonight and picked up another four bottles of piss to review. ![]() First up is Coopers Sparkling Ale which was 105 Baht and comes in at 5.8%. When poured, it displayed a very frothy head and a very cloudy body. It also had all the yeast particles floating around in it, because this is a bottle conditioned ale. You can taste the alcohol quite distinctly. It is a bit like Carlsberg Special Brew, but not as syrupy. It had a very sweet but bitter aftertaste, but the nose was quite pleasant. It was a bit too heavy for me, but it went down quickly enough. 6.5 out of 10

| Coopers Extra Stout (Australia) Second for tonight is Coopers Extra Stout which is a hefty 6.5% and again 105 Baht. ![]() It pours well and has a good head. On first taste you get overpowered by the burnt malt. It is way too much. There is also far too much gas. Stout, for me, should be smooth and all that gas puts an edge on the tast that shouldn't be there. It's also very sweet and syrupy. If this was just a stout, without the 'extra' and had less gas and sugar it would be a decent drop, but as it is at the moment it isn't. It reminds me of ABC stout that you can buy in a few SEA countries. Very disappointing. It's actually taken me a long time to finish it as I'm too bloated to drink it at a normal speed. I did make one improvement and chucked a couple of ice cubes into it. Much better. 3 out of 10 |

| Fine drop, that Coopers Ale. It'll grow on you. I think you've been a bit rough on the Stout, but in fairness it's a Stout drunk by people that think Guinness is for wimps. Perhaps an acquired taste. |

| Small Member | ![]() Is it not possible to get hold of Tetleys with a widget? Its a great session beer ![]() The best session beer ever, but im not sure if they export it. The definitive English Bitter. This fine, golden coloured beer, now restored to 3.8% ABV, has a full flavour that lingers pleasantly on the palate. With a good bitter-sweet balance this beer has a robust hop character described as citrus and spicy. It’s a refreshing and very satisfying pint – noted for the aroma of its Fuggles and dry hopping strain Golding to add to its characteristic Theakston aroma. ![]() Sex in a glass A premium strength, ruby coloured ale with a rich flavour and full body. The balance between bitterness and fruitiness from the Bramling Cross and Fuggle hops used give XB the distinctively complex aroma, making it the beer to savour. A mans drink guaranteed to put hairs on your chest. I dont have a clue as to the availability of beers such as these, maybe Marmite can let us know.

There are loads of beers available here (sadly 99% are shitty lagers), and hopefully I will get round to reviewing them all. | |

| Elite Member | I could say know that you show again that you have no taste in beer, but as I told you on friday, this is not a fair judgement as you are obviously a bitter man, speaking beerwise of course. Veltins is a really good beer ut you judged even Miller higher than Krombacher, which is another really nice Pilsner. This is like me writing a wheat beer review. |

| For the Antipdeans I vote for Wanye Kerr to represent our interests, I would say he is a man who knows his beer. No reflection on your judgment Marmers, but you haven't really got enough wrinkles to qualify as a seasoned tester. |
