| Elite Member | I know its not Thailand but the Novohotel in Shanghai has a mini-brewery behind the bar - that was nice as well ! Any of these in Thailand?- could be converted from my favourite- Santory Japanese whisky( Oh! Shit - will probably get shot down in flames for saying that ) ! |

| I really liked Carlsberg, it had a nice variety of hops to flavor it but I haven't seen in around since 2003. Heineken is too sour, Singha too. I believe that high alcohol beers like Chang have the wort spiked with glucose to really boost the alcohol content, it also produced a lot of impurities which add to the hangover. Funny the ways Thai's consider Heineken exotic and when you offer them a beer they always choose Heineken over Singha or any of the other brands. Tiger and Kloster are OK with myself favoring the Kloster, though neither is as good as the old Carlsberg. |

| Asahi on Draught is a winner. At the end of the day though it's how its kept, temperature, gas and freshness is the most influence in a good pint or a bad one whichever beer your tastebuds prefer; very difficult to find here, ice cold bottles of Beer Lao is my preference should the draught be of poor quality. |

No microbrewery there. Just fake copper kettles. Beer is from Bangkok. | |

| Best draught beer: varies so greatly from pub to pub it's difficult to pin it down to a single brand. For me, probably the best experience of draught beer is sitting in a pub or restaurant which caters mainly to Thais and having an ice cold draught Singha, where the glass has been in the freezer also. If the beer has been kept well this can be a very refreshing, pleasant drink. On the other hand, a "happy-hour" pint of Singha in somewhere like O-Relieys or Molly Molone's can be absolutely awful and a struggle to finish sometimes. I think Thailand does OK on the bottled lager side of things. Singha, Chang, Heineken, Tiger and BeerLao are all better than most common bottled (or indeed draught) lagers you find back in the UK. |
