Bobcock at Wat Rajapradit Sathitmahasimaram Rajaworavihara

This is a very small Royal temple just a short walk from the Grand Palace.

King Rama IV ordered it's construction in 1864 as the first temple of the Dhammayutika sect.

It 's very highly decorated with marble tiles and has 8 stone pillars. It's is built on landfill of broken garlic jars.

On the walk there from Wat Mahathat, I passed Wat Phra Kaew and took these 'postcard' shots.

    Then onto the temple itself.

Combine it with Wat Rajabophit, which is my next thread. Both rarely visited, no one to bother you and the latter is probably the nicest of all.
