The mrs and I rented a boat and driver to take us to Koh Hong, from Krabi. The boat took a few goes to get started, but eventually we were off.
We stopped at a few places along the way also, I don't recall the names of these tiny inlets, as our main focus was to get to Koh Hong. We had to take our own food, as there was no food available at any of the places we stopped, which were almost deserted apart from a couple of locals and a handful of tourists. It was low season however, so that may be why there was no food available.
Koh Hong was clearly the highlight for us, it seems the locals take great pride in actually keeping this small island in pristine condition. I didn't see any rubbish or pollution on the island, just white sand and clear water. BUT, there was a small outlet where beer could be purchased on the island, THANK GOD. We spent a number of hours swimming and drinking.
The people responsible for the upkeep of Maya Bay (Phi Phi Island) could take a lesson in how not to screw up a perfectly good island from the people who maintain Koh Hong.
Enjoy the pics.

Boats waiting at Krabi to take tourists to the nearby islands, it was low season so not a lot of action, my favourite time to visit Krabi.

One of the few boats heading out that day.

Passed this guy on the way out, fishing I think?

Our boat was able to go right into this small hidden inlet, the water was knee deep and the mrs had a great time wandering through the water picking up starfish.

These guys were "hiding out" in the inlet.

The closer we got to Koh Hong, the more of these dirty buggers we saw.

We stopped at another island along the way, I don't remember the name, but there was plenty of fish.

During peak times, this island looked like it may have sold food, but certainly not during low season.

We finally reached our destination, Koh Hong.

Deserted.

It was so quiet, just paradise.

We tried to walk further into the island after this pic, but the mozzies and other creapy crawlies got too much for the mrs, so we had to turn back to civilisation (the bar).

We sat here for most of the day.

There were plenty of these sneaky buggers around the island, the mrs got a couple of small stings from tenticles that had broken off and were splashing around the shallows, but the locals had some vineger on-hand which kept her happy, especailly as I told her the only other known cure was to piss on the inflamed area...

45 minute trip back to Krabi (I think, can't really remember as I was drunk by this stage).
