We took the MIL and Sister to Koh Larn for the weekend to celebrate their birthdays. During the day its quite busy with all the day-visitors coming accross from Pattaya, but at night I only saw one other foreigner apart from myself.
There are a couple of decent "Thai style" restaurants on the island, and the level of accomodation has improved greatly from our first visit about 12 months ago.
We rented two over-water bungalow's that seemed very new. The water quality is quite good, its a surprise this island is only a few hours from Bangkok. enjoy the pics.

Sadly, shortly after taking this pic a Japanese tourist was pulled from the water unconscious, medical staff arrived and performed CPR, but I believe he passed away. What was possibly just as disturbing were the touts trying to sell their rubbish to the crowd that had gathered watching the medical staff work. Any opportunity for a $ I guess.

The MIL was determained to climb this mountain as apparently there was some sort of special temple at the top, I just wanted to crack a beer, but when we reached the top it was well worth the effort.

Sitting here, you're only a few meters from the fridge, which holds just enough beer to ensure a weekend listening to Thai gossip is bareable.

The bungalow seemed very new, I think there were 4 or 5. Fridge, aircon, hot & cold shower, double bed and stunning views.

A restaurant we visited at night, sorry for the crappy pic. This place was right on the beach, it had so much potential, but we waited over an hour for our meal.
Overall a great weekend, the MIL doesn't get out much, so she had a great time, I've got a few points in the bank with her now.
