| Haven't voted yet 'cause I want to know. In Amsterdam I could smoke weed, visit porno theatres, perv at 'live sex' on stage. Heck, I could even eat a bannana inserted into a (rather aged) vagina. Oh, and then there were the real cheap whores (and their wares could be inspected before the deed). No nasty surprises. Plus I liked the fact that the Dutch put mayonnaise on their french fries. Can I savour the same delights in Pattaya? |

| I would agree living there, but for a visit its great. Many good restaurants at sensible prices with a fair variety of food although the crap English food predominates. A beer or two at reasonable price while watching the passing moron parade in walking st. Good entertainment without hassle, i.e. Champions, TQ2 or whatsup, prob many others but they are my usual. I will be there this weekend as DD has promised me a big Roast beef sandwich. |

| Pattaya heaven or hell? Silly question. It's both. As for living there/here, many people love it. Others crash and burn, or move up country for the quiet life. As for me, living out of town near Mabprachan reservoir works just fine. Pattayas nearby, when I want it. |

| It's OK though I'm not as fond of it as I used to be. Decent for a single man but definately not for all these clueless families who booked the cheapest package tour with the name "Thailand" on it. It does have a very good variety of restaurants, in my opinion the best selection in the Kingdom. But I can no longer book a 3 week trip to Thailand and spend it all in Pattaya. It's OK for a few days but the southern beaches are a league above the place traveling halfway around the world just to stay in Pattaya seems a wast considering the incredible serenic beauty just a few hundred more kilometers south. |

The water "looked" clean. There was fairly good food and drink right at the beach not at farang prices... | |

| Elite Member | Not a huge fan of the main town of Pattaya (although I live here) but certainly prefer this place and when compared to living in Bangkok. There seems to be some animosity towards Pattaya and coming from the farangs who live in Bangkok and further up country. Sure there are scum that frequent Pattaya but no different to the scum you can find in Bangkok and apparently up country as well. You will just find a concentration of these type of people mainly in one area. I first come to Pattaya in 1985, or there abouts and it was a wonderful place and a great getaway from Bangers. The traffic these days is getting worse and I very rarely venture into the main city if I can avoid it. Pattaya is becoming such an expansive urban sprawl and the services and entertainment areas seem to moving out to where all the new housing developments are. I live in an area surrounded with tropical jungles, can purchase everything that I need within a 2 Km radius, can be on the first tee of 5 international golf courses within 15 minutes, my kids go to a nearby international school and I can still go down to wacky world (and when I feel the need) within a 15 minute drive. Probably not the best place to live in Thailand but at this stage of my life it suits me just fine. |

You can put mayonnaise on a rather aged vagina and dip your french fries in it. Care should be taken however to use your own mayo so as not to be fooled by the oft encountered yeast infected old vagina's.
