| Yeah,I have photos of pattaya from the late 1970's,I hated it then. But will I hate it now? I always knew pattaya as a huge beach brothel,I disliked it. However,I am much older now and more pragmatic and fuelled by the multi national drug barons.... Pattaya here I come, march 2006. Lock up ya daughters...... |

| Elite Member | You wont I dont think mark, as long as you dont stay in the midst of it. Get a nice place with a pool and access to the beach. Then commute in, and you'll probably get the "dog tour" if you are there for a while and still posting. Believe it or not its my "family resort". |

| I lived in Pattaya about 10 months then I realised that it was not my place, not suit with me then I tried to find a new job and left. Shopping in Pattaya is not bad though, I like to go there, it's better than Robinson, Sriracha.. damn.. boring! ![]()

| Pattaya is what you make it. Like any place. If it starts to become hell, people should leave. Some folks should only stay there for short stints. It can be hard to leave for some, but it's the best way for many. Not for all though. I like many aspects of Pattaya. If I ever retire, and I don't know if I will, my main downfall will be my love of beer. People can live a healthy life there and do a lot of different things, though. |

| I like Pattaya for the occasional weekend, sitting and watching in walking street makes me feel more normal. So after an evening watching the loonies, I go home feeling much better about myself. The next day there is some great seafood to be scored further along the coast. |
