| Trang | ^ Nana Plaza is an overpriced hellhole. I'd rather take the time and effort to flirt with regular girls than spend a dime on any nightlife venue in Bangkok. 600 baht barfine is ridiculous. Then you pay 1,000 baht for ST (or 1,500 baht if you're an old fok). For just a few more baht, you could pay for a roundtrip bus ticket to Pattaya (210 baht), stay at a small guesthouse like the Dobler House (700 for two night), and barfine two gals at once and have a threesome (1,500).

| Trang | ^ It's a small guesthouse with A/C, TV with cable, and a huge bathroom (no bathtub though) for 350 baht a night. No website, online reservations, internet, breakfast, or any other misc. crap that inflates the price. I threw out their business card, so I'll try to give an idea of where it is. It's been about six months since I was there, so excuse the vagueness. If you are standing in front of the Apex, start walking towards Big C. Take a right into the first small side soi you see (I believe there is an overpriced internet cafe/Thai antique store right before you make the right). It will be either the second or third guesthouse on your left. You'll be right in the heart of the action. None of the gals have heard of it, so you can always escape undetected. |

| Thanks for the post and pics Dog, That helps me in deciding between a short trip to Pattaya, a slightly longer one to Phnom Penh, or a trip straight home to KK upon my return to Thailand early next week. |

| If you can find it, it'd be great Desi. And I don't know if you're yet aware that Air Asia is flying there (Phnom Penh)...now. I priced a ticket for 3300 baht return (all taxes and extras included).... Great price. IA *edit. That was an awesome read Desi. | Trang | Just remembered another negative in Pattaya. It was around 10am and I was taking money out of an ATM machine in front of the Family Mart on Soi Bukow (sp) across from the Sawasdee Hotel. Withdraw my cash and then some English guy, late 20s to early 30s, with a shaved head, tatoo, and t-shirt with a soccer team logo asks me if I speak English. I just shrug and give a confused smile. He then says,"Could you lend me 200 baht, mate?" I still look at him confused and he walks off. I encountered some really lower class English people in Pattaya. So be careful around any Englishman you meet in Pattaya. Trust only the ones that take you to a short time bar in a housing estate. |
