    Royal Barge Museum

    Worth a visit;
    Take the river boat to Pin Khlao bridge and follow the signs down the narrow alleyways.

    100 baht entry and 100 baht for a digital camera(I didn't pay but I did buy the nice book in english about the barges)

    the restorations are spectacular.

    just a bit further down the same klong. I think it is called Bangkok Noi is the Taling Chan weekend river market.

    Not a tourist thing, its all about food.

    bloody worth a couple of hours drinking beer and a feed. your long tail boat will wait.

    I haven't been for a while, I love the boats.

    Must take my new camera there for a tryout.

    Did you see any indication as to whether you can use tripods or not?

    For some reason some of these places get funny when a tripod comes out.

    ^If you pay the 100 camera fee I can't see any problem. I was sneaky and too cheap to pay the camera surcharge.

    probably because add half a dozen tripods and one is then tripping all over the bladdy things, damn nuisance.
