    A Thai movie at Pranburi

The past 3 days I have spent up at Aryan Resort near the mouth of the Pranburi River. This is about 25 km from Hua-Hin and about 3 hours from BKK. Even though this is a sleepy fishing town, the Thai movie scene decided to shoot a scene in this little seaside bay.

Please do not ask the name of this upcoming Thai movie, but remember you saw it here first!

Now, let's go behind the scenes. Naturally, before any movie production starts, one has to have power.

Then the first of many camera crews begin to set up.

I had not ever actually 'scene' railroad tracks like this before.

These guys were hot and not real happy.

I spent a few days down near Pranburi meself last month.

I went to Angsara Resort, just next to the Dolphin resort. Nice place, but 'twas expensive.

Here, you can see the Thai movie stars going over the script. Some of you should be able to recognize at least one of these Thai actors.

    More concentration and cold drinks.

This seemed to be one of the main guys. A rather friendly guy, perhaps he was thinking I might be the next male hero! *Hillbilly goes fishing*

    The scene they finally captured.

We will have to wait until the movie comes out to see what has happened, and what will happen...

The rooms were B2,000 per night and they were not as fancy as some Thai condo's I've seen...

They seem to do a fair bit of filming on the beach there, someone was making an advert or a film last time I was there.

I looked at the pictures more carefully after lunch. That is Pak Nam Pran, I think they run Outward Bound courses from there, but I don't think I have ever actually seen anyone staying there. I am thinking of hiring a canoe from them and paddling up the river at easter.
    Lord, deliver us from e-mail.
