that was the piece of de resistance. got to immigration at T2 and all folk with kids under 12 had to go in one huge fucking queue - swear the non eu queue moved quicker, which is about right. the massive sum of about 12 people used those silly face recognition scanners. one staff on each kiosk during peak summer season, instead of two. and yes it was a paki who spoke to me, didnt ask me about the 20 kilos of veg in the suitcases though

I kinda agree with this sentiment , just let your missus go back on her own , go and have a holiday on your own in a decent civilised Country .

I agree. Fcuk knows what I'd have done in the OP's position. Only thing I can think I'd have done is push the fcuker back, and fcuk the consequences.

From experience, that shove was probably the most irksome part.
