    Thailands National parks rated

    Department rates national parks

    KARNJANA KARNJANATAWE

    The National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department recently rated Doi Pha Hom Pok, Doi Inthanon and Phu Kradung as top national parks in the country.
    The rating took into account park administration, wildlife protection, tourism management and academic considerations.
    According to the department, Doi Pha Hom Pok in Chiang Mai attracted 112,884 visitors between October 2005 to September 2006, while Doi Inthanon drew 433,849 and Phu Kradung in Loei 83,122 visitors over the same period.     "DirtyDog" I live about 80k from Khao Yai national park. Is it worth a visit or give it a miss? What's there if I go & is there places to stay? Cheers
