Sri Racha Agricutural Fair

Well yesterday I went to their yearly fair to buy some more trees for the old land, this is held in the local college grounds and has hundreds of plant stalls amongst other junk stalls, ie bra's for 39baht each or 3 for 100baht, not that I bought any I might add it just seemed a strange thing to be selling at an agricultral fair, another odd thing they sell is bundles of sticks with plastic on the ends, I assume these will grow into something.




The more professional of the sellers even labelled their plants so they didn't waste their time answering idiots inquiries into what each plant was, wont be long before Thailand becomes a first world country I reckon with their rapid approach in actualy putting foking labels and prices on things these days.



The sellers from Chang Mai were down aswell in force, it's a shame that they don't tell the buyers the truth that the flowers will not last long on the eastern seaboard due to very differant climate conditions, still I suppose they just want to sell the stuff and they do last about a month down here in Jomtien.



Anyway I bought about 30 trees for the old orchard, all I can hope is that some of them die as it's nearly full up already, still not bad for just under 1,000baht, another 2 years I will never have to buy fruit again, although I have to admit I can't remember the last time I bought fruit, anyway here is a tree seller bagging up some of my new trees



I might add that he changed his prices once he realised I was involved, this was halfway through the negotiation of about 20 trees, ie it was 3 of these and 2 of these etc, he was giving prices to the old galfriend then when he wrote out the bill the prices had increased dramatically, my galfriend done her nut and he just said it didn't matter cos I was a farang, then she really done her nut, when will these foking cnuts learn?

Did you pay the inflated price, or did you manage to pay the Thai one?

it ended up cheaper than the original Thai prices he quoted, she was in a bad mood anyway and when the guy done that she done her nut and started screaming at them, it was all quite embarrassing obviously also when he said it didn't matter as I was only a farang that really didn't go down to well.

Well the fair in Sri Racha should be back again next month so have to see what bargains they have.
