Pattaya - National Science Day celebrated in local School
National Science Day celebrated in local School.

On Thursday we made our way to the Akson Pattaya School located in Soi Gopai, South Pattaya, to attend a Science and Technology Fair, organized by the school to showcase the work of students who study Science at this private school. The event was organized to celebrate National Science Day here in Thailand which celebrates the life and work of King Rama IV who is known as the “Father of Science” here in Thailand. On 18th August 1868, His Majesty calculated that a total Solar Eclipse would take place here in Thailand. This prediction spread throughout the Global Scientific Community who travelled to Thailand to witness the event. Following the eclipse, the King was declared the “Father of Science” by the Thai people and the day was declared National Science Day.
