   | Formal celebrations for Mothers Day at Banglamung City Hall Formal celebrations for Mothers Day at Banglamung City Hall. The 12th August is Mothers Day here in Thailand, where the entire Kingdom celebrates the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirigit’s birthday. As part of the formal celebrations for this event, in the grounds of Banglamung City Hall, Khun Mongkol, the Chief of Banglamung District led an early morning ceremony which was attended by nine Buddhist Monks who began with a short religious ceremony. All this in front of a 5 meter high portrait of Her Majesty. Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya and members of his administration were also in attendance. Events will be taking place around the City including an evening parade on Pattaya Beach later on Tuesday.  12  44  44 Pattaya One News
