My builders were really pleased when we had the first post ceremony, they thought it would be good luck for the house and for them working when I made a couple of offerings at the spirit house, they were very impressed and it gave me some extra respect ("face") etc Just good PR and it makes things go smoother with the locals; not compulsory but nice (and you get some good pics too)

| no monk has ever set foot on my land, nor will one while i am still alive... i do not have anything against them, in principle- i respect people's right to believe in, or follow any religion they choose, but i would be an hypocrite if i went along with something i disagree with, just to make the wife happy, and she should respect my rights, and go see a monk at the temple if she likes.. |

| cool thread, cmn. your home and property seem very comfortable. i fall somewhere on the continuem between nick and marmite regarding monk shit. the issue has been raised several times by the gf and i said whatever with the unspoken understanding that i would likely opt to be away on the day of the event and it best not cost me much. the path of least resistance is ok with me on this. i dont care what crap people believe so long as they dont get any on me and i dont have to particpate or pay (much anyway). |

Great photos, Busty, but you really shouldn't have photoshopped them. We all know CMN's house is pink really, befitting a woolly woofter. ![]() Last edited by benbaaa : 19-06-2008 at 12:22 PM. Reason: Grammar fix in my first sentence. :D

I kind of like these ceremonies. No idea what's going on, but I like the chanting bim diddy biddy bom biddy biddy diddy bom. Reminds me I'm somewhere else.
