Thread: Songkran gift ideas?

There are two Thai waitresses at a restaurant I frequent here in California.

I would like to give them some present at Songkran time, something to help them feel (more) festive, and to show that I have some feelings for them.

One is married, in her 30s, and we have "the hots" for each other. But it is doomed.

The other is early 20s, single, and we share a common love of food. Except for her age, I would truly like to date her.


So, what would be appropriate as a fun and thoughtfull gift for each?

BTW, both have been in US only a few years, so culturally they are mostly still Thai.

They have access to Thai fruit at the restaurant, with the exception of durian, which probably would not elicit the response I would like.

The cheeky (and horny) side of me is tempted to package together some kid's play paint and a couple of photos of body art, and then suggest that since Songkran in California does not provide the joys of color splashing, perhaps we ought to go back to my (or her) place and play with paint.

But I think this is too forward at this stage. To tell the truth, I am scared if the offer is accepted. It's been a long time since I dated or had sex.

Nothing per se, but it is unlikely that a woman that young will want to or be able to be a good stepmom.

And perhaps it is unfair to women, but I am hoping to find someone who can be a good lifemate for me AND for my two young sons. Not really interested in just cheap, tawdry sex at this point.

I'm of the opinion that if you think too much about how that special someone should be, you'll end up single for the rest of your life. If you happen to meet someone and the magic is there, just go for it. If it works out, then great; if not, then at least you've had a hot girlfriend for a while. No harm done.

Haven't been back there yet; generally go once a month.

Since Songkran is Sun-Tues this year, not so easy to go because these are school nights for the boys; OTOH, kids might like going with water pistols! Have to see if they are open during the period.
