Boating Competition begins at the Maprachan Reservoir.

On Thursday Morning at the Maprachan Reservoir on the Eastern outskirts of Pattaya, Admiral Satirapan, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy was guest of honor at the Grand Opening of a three day Boating competition at the Reservoir. The South East Asia Rowing/Canoeing and Traditional Boat Championships 2007, organized to celebrate the 80th Birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, will feature 251 athletes from 9 countries around the region, 92 of the athletes coming from outside of Thailand. This event is held every two years by the Host nation of the South East Asian Games which, this year, is Thailand.
