What does it mean that the visa is 'renewable' every five years?

Do you have to re-up with another million baht at that point?

^ Supposedly, the Elite Card visa renewal is just a formality. No additional moneys are supposed to change hands but hey, who would really want to place any bets on what will be what some five years down the road?

instead of 1m, they should have made this a membership with a 20,000 monthly payment on a 5 year contract, less risks for all parties

It has all the red flags of a scam, no wonder nobody is buying

^ They've only sold a couple thousand cards in going on four years against an initial goal of a million in five years. In the current climate, I would think that one would have to be a real risk-taker to want to plunk down hard earned baht on an elite card.

You have to admire Thai tenacity when they are riding the gravy train, this thing has been dead in the water for years but while someone is funding their overseas trips & cocktail parties, they ain't giving up on it.
