NIKE Annual UN Day Run
10 Km International Run Bangkok

For the past 24 years, runners have been reminded of one of the oldest 10 Km race in Thailand, the "UN Day International Run" which has become a symbolic running event that everybody can join. Not only a lot of old running fellows meet every year but also many new comers take part in this event.

Course:
This course is without doubt the best in Bangkok with the start and finish in front of the UN Building n beautiful trees lined Rajadamnern Nok Avenue. The route passes by the Marble Temple, Chitralada palace, Khao Din Zoo, the National Library and the streets of old Bangkok. Shade and trees throughout. See Route Map
Start & Finish Line:
For Male Athletes - the start is on Rajadamnern Nok Avenue in front of UN Building.
For Female Athletes - the start is on Krung Kasem Road in front of Wat Makutkasattiyaram. For all athletes the finish line is on Rajadamnern Nok Avenue in front of the UN Building. After finishing and receiving their medals, all athletes will automatically proceed to the service area on Krung Kasem Road where they can obtain water, refreshment, souvenirs etc.

    Prizes
    The first five (5) finisher in each category will receive a handsome trophy the United Nations with the winner of each category being awarded the Champions blazer to proudly wear.

    Entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
    Entry limited to 10,000 entrants.

    Applications are also possible by mail. Please complete the application form and mail entry fee as above list before October 1, 2007 as follows:-

(662) 2772567 or Email full details as application form and transfer entry fees to The Bangkok Bank-Surawong branch account No.1474182217 name “Kannika Kraisonthi” and fax Bank's Transfer Voucher for acknowledge. We will immediately mail to you your run number and singlet. Race bib numbers will not be issued on Race Day.

  • Run and have fun by wearing fancy dress
    Each year since 1997 more and more runners are identifying themselves by wearing fancy dress which has now become a great feature of annual UN Day 10 km Run. Runners who do this really have fun and add to the great atmosphere of the race. In time is not important. The UN Run organizers each year encourage persons with disabilities to participate in the fun filled event and each year there are more and more entries from wheelchair athletes, blind runners etc. In addition, to encourage young children to participate in healthy activities such as running a special Marafun for kids in organized with the kind permission of the Royal Thai Army within the Royal Thai Military Headquartes adjacent to the UN Building. The course is around 800-1000 metres and the Marafun is open to all children below the age of 12 years. Entry is free but the application from should be completed and signed by the parent. Run numbers will be issued but there are no prizes. The marafun will start at 06.00 a.m. simultaneously with the main 10 km Run
