PATTAYA PHOTO CONTEST 2007 - “IMPRESSIVE PATTAYA HOLIDAY”

Pattaya City has arranged a Photo Contest 2007, using the slogan “Impressive Pattaya Holiday” with the top prize of 300,000 Baht. The objective is to improve the reputation of Pattaya as a tourist centre, to promote the art of photography and to educate the public and tourists in the importance of the natural environment.

Pattaya City, is collaborating with the T.A.T. (Tourist Authority of Thailand), Office of Central Region, Zone 3, the Photography Society of Thailand and the Central Festival Shopping Centre, Pattaya, in this venture.

Photos for the contest must be taken from authentic examples of nature and should illustrate the natural beauty of tourist attractions in the Pattaya area, including the islands of Larn, Krok, and Saak Island.

To submit photos for the contest

Submit contributions personally or send by post from the 1st May 2007 to 20th July 2007, addressed to the Development and Promotion Department, Tourist Section, Pattaya City Hall, North Pattaya Rd., Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi, 20150, writing in brackets “Pattaya Photo Contest” on the envelope.

The results of the contest will be announced on 5th August 2007 at Central Festival Shopping Centre, Pattaya.

Rules of Photo Contest

1. Photos must be taken between 31st December 2006 and July 2007.
2. Send not more than 5 photos. Contest entrance free. Only one top prize will be awarded.

3. Photos must be taken by digital camera, print size 12” X 18” on photo paper, and attached on black feature board, submitted by original file (File format RAW or TIFF), resolution not less than 300 dpi, and saved on CD

4. Write down Name, Surname, Address, Tel. No., Photos’ Names, Location, and Standard Information of Photos taken on the back of each photo.

5. Photos for the contest must not be displayed in public before the contest.

6. No special technique or retouching methods must be used in the photo file.

7. All photos submitted to the contest will subsequently be the property of Pattaya City.

8. The judges reserve the right of methods of judging and the results are regarded as being final.

9. The organizers will do their best to preserve the condition of the photos. In case of loss or damage, photo owners will not have the right to demand compensation.

10. The organizers deem that all owners of photos have read and taken note of the rules and are willing to follow them accordingly.

11. 5 % withholding tax will be deducted from the prizes.

2. 1st Runner Up: 70,000 Baht Cash with Plaque of Honour - 1 Award

3. 2nd Runner Up: 50,000 Baht Cashwith Plaque of Honour - 1 Award

4. Honour Award : 5,000 Baht Cash with Plaque of Honour - 15 Awards
