Travel Malaysia Consumer Fair starts tomorrow

PHUKET: Starting tomorrow the Tourism Malaysia Phuket Office for Southern Thailand, will once again be staging the Travel Malaysia Consumer Fair at Central Festival Phuket.

This will be the second series of road shows and consumer fairs held in selected areas in Southern Thailand, includ ing Trang, Koh Samui and now Phuket.

Selected outbound tour operators in Phuket will be offering attractive, value-for-money travel packages to Malaysia that will include many new tourism products such as Legoland Malaysia and KidZania, which opened recently.

The event will also offer attractive airfares to Kuala Lumpur from Malaysia Airline’s partners, including Qatar Airways, which fly direct from Phuket to Malaysia daily

Several stage activities will take place from 11am to 9:30 pm throughout the event, which ends on Sunday, Among the events will be a ‘Lucky Photo Share Contest’, ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Register & Win a trip to Malaysia!'

Malaysia recorded an overall growth of +1.2 per cent tourist arrivals with 9,438,592 tourists for the first five months of 2012 compared with 9,323,827 for the same period last year and Thailand is the third largest contributor to tourist arrivals to Malaysia
