Pranakornkiri Annual Fair
Mr. Sayumporn Limthai, Petchburi Governor, said that Petchburi is co-operating with TOT and Administration of Provincial Department in arranging the Pranakornkiri Fair 2007. The fair is called Chakri Dynasty Celebration Fair 2007 at Pranakornkiri Muang Petch Khoa Wang - Khoa Luang, to bless King Rama IX and The former Thai Kings Rama IV, V and VI, and to promote Petchburi’s tourism. The fair will be held during 2-11 February at Khoa Wang – Khoa Luang amphoe muang petchburi.
On the opening day, 2 February, there will be a parade of honour for King Rama 4, 5, 6, King Bhumipol and his daughter, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Well-known products of Petchburi will also be on parade. The highlight of the fair is a famous buffalo competition from Baan Laad held on 7-11 February. The top of Khoa Wang Mountain and Pranakornkiri will be lit up and 309 beautiful fireworks are set to be blazed over the sky. Firework view points will be set up within the area.
There are performances of art, culture, music and local shows all the way up to the museum. Also there will be economically priced products directly from factory outlets. Souvenirs and OTOP products will be there. Competitions, like the singing contest for village chiefs and 1 factory 1 singer contest, will be held. All these will be highlights of the fair.
