Hin Suay Namsai Resort ...Rayong
At the end of the rainy season , on the way back from Cambodia we decided to stay at Mae Pim beach for a short break. Driving around we came to the Hinsuay Nam Sai Resort hotel. The place has seen better days and is a bit fly blown but the rooms have fantastic views of the sea and there are also bungalows to rent, right near the hotels own private little cove.
The first rooms we were shown were 10 yards from the private beach in a small block overlooking the sea and the gardens.

These rooms were nothing special but they were the cheapest and were on promotion at 1400 a night instead of the usual 1600 - 2000. Where they scored was what was outside the the block.

However we were looking for something a bit different and more cosy so we opted for this one bedroomed bungalow , also on promotion at 1400.

Which comes with a fully equiped kitchen including pots and pans, electric kettle ,
plates and cuttlery .

Then there is the bedroom come living room.

And if you're too lazy to walk down to the beach theres the very crowded pool just outside the door :

Views across the bay are not too bad either .

I should say that if you're looking for vibrant night life, forget it. Mae Pim beach is a short 4 kilometre drive away with plenty of restaurants but generaly quiet midweek and lots of locals on the weekend. If you're looking for romantic solitude where you can cook your own supper whilst enjoying the view and a bottle of wine...hard to beat.
