The number 1 Beach in Thailand

The number 1 beach in Thailand ?

After trying out different locations in Thailand for that little bit of paradise that is not over run by tourist's I thought I'd put the question out there to see if
anyone had come across THE BEACH.

I dont care if its hard to get to or doesnt have western comforts close at hand.

There must be one of you that has come across something special ...?

I travelled all over Koh Chang last year,I followed the road all the way round until I came across a road that was now classed as privately owned by a hotel Chain and wanted a 100 baht to pass their security....

Ive heard some good reports on koh Lanta, Anybody been there ?

Oh, Zion long beach was nice anyway. Nothing there but 4 or 5 beach huts, a beach bar and beautiful scenery. Hope it stays that way!

You will not go far wrong if you try the beaches just outside Rayong. They have the added advantage of being largely deserted because few people know they are there. ( About 8 kilometres to the east .)

    Freedom Beach, Phuket.
You have to take a long boat from Patong Beach.
Not too crowded when I went(6 years ago) but could have changed. Water very clear and you can
    swim with the fish.
Has 1 little hut that sells Thai food and drinks.

    Top 10 Beaches

    2. Ao Nang Beach Krabi, Thailand

Ao Nang is known as Thailand's best all-round beach destination, due to its central location in the Andaman Sea and magnificent scenery.

Ao Nang is relatively unspoiled; days can be spent relaxing by the shore or taking part in the many activities on offer, such as snorkelling, scuba diving and kayaking.

The beach is also conveniently located near restaurants and bars.

The equally spectacular Railey Beach is only a 15-minute ferry ride away and is approximately two hours from Phuket.

Freedom Beach used to be great. I used to go there from Patong 20 years ago. Same little shack selling drinks and some food. Not crowded. Clean water. Tourists hadn't found it, at least not in large numbers, back then. From Isanmick's post, sounds like it was still ok 6 years ago.

Worlds best beaches are the ones where ,
you arrive just a little too hot,
cool off in nice sea,and have a long swim,
come out and get warmed up in the sun
admire the bronzed girls- breath in the heady smell of thier bodies and suntan
    cream mingling delightfully ,
    have a beer
    ,and repeat the above
eg Mediterranean sea in late spring , Greece ,Spain etc.

beaches in Thailand are stinking hot ,you spend all the time hiding under a big umbrella ,
so the best Thai beach must be one with a huge cliff shielding the sun from it
only one i have seen anything like that is Phi Phi ,and then the cliff shaded only the end of the beach
    so Thailand beaches -FAIL

    For the most part, true.

Best beaches for me were in Brazil and the west coast of Mexico.
