“Chinese Connection – Top Ten International Friends of China”
A garden party is scheduled at the Government House on 7 March in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn

BANGKOK, 6 Mar 2010 (NNT) - The Government will host a garden party and a banquet tomorrow, in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the winner of the “Chinese Connection – Top Ten International Friends of China” Award.
The award ceremony took place on 8 December 2009 in Beijing, as part of the 60th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The Thai Government asked for Her Royal Highness' permission to host a congratulatory event in her honor and had obtained the permission to hold the event, graced by the Princess herself, on Sunday, 7 March 2010, at 18.00 hrs.
The event takes place at the Santi Maitri Hall and Thai Khu Fa Building within the Government House. The event comprises a garden party in Her Royal Highness' honor at the Santi Maitri Hall's Outer Section. There will also be a newly choreographed performance presented by the Bunditpattanasilpa Institute which is a Thai dance to mixed Thai and Chinese melodies and rhythm, an exhibition on Her Royal Highness' royal activities in promoting Sino-Thai relations at the central section of the hall and a banquet given in the Ivory Room, Thai Khu Fa Building, by the Prime Minister and his consort in the name of the Thai Government and all the Thai people. The banquet will be attended by all involved with the award.
Attendees include the Privy Council, the Cabinet, high-ranking government officials, representatives of various organizations and personalities involved on the Thai and Chinese sides, including the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, representatives of China Radio International (CRI), the Thai - Chinese Friendship Association, Chinese societies and associations in Thailand and foreign ambassadors based in Thailand. The event will be live on Modern Nine TV Channel 9 and Radio Thailand.
