![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thailand : Govt to produce special coins in honor of HM the King Govt to produce special coins in honor of HM the King Rungkarn Rujiwarangkul 24 Febuary 2010 BANGKOK, 24 February 2010 (NNT) – The Cabinet yesterday endorsed a ministerial regulation draft formulating the characteristics of a commemorative coin to be produced in celebration of the occasion that His Majesty the King was presented with the Global Leader Award by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The Finance Ministry said in its proposal that the coin issuance would honor HM’s talents in developing efficient inventions such as the Chaipattana aerator and the royal rain making project. The royal innovations have proven their practicality and benefits to people around the world. The commemorative coins will be produced in 3 types. The first is in vanished gold, numbering 2,000 pieces to be sold at 16,000 THB each. The second is in vanished silver, numbering no more than 15,000 pieces to be sold at 800 THB each. The last type is made of white nickel alloy numbering 500,000 pieces to be sold at 20 THB each.
