PHUKET CITY: Religious ceremonies marking the 84th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda Sirisobhabannavadi will tomorrow be held by Buddhist, Islamic, Christian and Sikh groups around the island.

The Muslim ceremony will be held at the Dubai Mosque in Koh Kaew where students at the Muslim Witthaya School, on the same grounds as the mosque, will hear about HRH Princess Bejaratana’s life and contributions to the Thai nation before the singing of the national anthem at 8 am. This will be followed by a prayer ceremony at 1pm.

On Sunday, November 29, there will be a two-hour gathering at the Tha Khraeng Christian (Protestant) Church on Chao Fah East Road, near Big One Supermarket, starting at 10.00am.

Also on November 29, the Sikh Temple on Suthat Road, near Phuket Provincial Prison, will hold a two-hour ceremony starting at 10am.

The Buddhist ceremony will take place tomorrow at Tha Rua Temple in Thalang, starting at 9:30am.

Phuket Governor Wichai Phraisa-ngop will open the activities.
