| Roi Et | Sabai Lodge - Pattaya (Dungeon Room) Bit of a story of how we ended up with this room - After 2 and half weeks in northern thailand i was ready for some kfc and decided to go down to pattaya for a couple of nights, we decided to use the bus as 12hrs was about enough for me, but the VIP bus was booked up and we had to catch the 2nd class bus, massive mistake. Instead of the vip 12 hours we was on the 2nd class 17 hours and i was loosing the plot for the last 5 lol i dident care where i was i just wanted to get off the dam thing. Anyway by the time we got to pats i was in pieces and we was gonna stop at the sabai earlier in the trip so we headed out there expecting to get a decent room for a 1000 baht. By the time we got there it was close to 12pm and the staff wanted 1500 baht, i stuck to my guns as i had been told the going rate was a 1000 or less, they then said they had a room for a 1000 but would have to show it me first, i followed but took no notice and said great ill take it, at this point after the day i had all i wanted was bed and a hot shower, followed by a kfc lol On further inspection i realised we had no window what so ever, and the room was very small, i did actually like it and was nice sleeping in with the gf till some young lads from london moved next door and started blasting shite music out and arguing with ladyboys in the early hours but thats pattaya i guess. ![]() Links: Sabai Lodge - Pattaya, Thailand Sabai Lodge hotel Pattaya hotelSabai Lodge Central Pattaya hotel Pattaya hotel I think at one point this room might have been for storage. ![]() ![]() Stocked up fridge ![]() Not much room but was cosey with the gf, and you got use to no window ![]() Toilet area was hardwork, door was old and she shower curtain got in the way with toilet duties ![]() ![]() Would i go back? Hell yer but maybe next time i wont be such a tight wad lol And finally the next door room with a window! ![]() |

| fuck that! for 1k this time of year there are heaps better, i had a fight with the bitch at the 'lek so i went across the way to the whitehouse, 1200 bloody nice! and across the way theres the AA also in the price range, not to mention great tucker at the sportsman bar.. huge feeds for fat barstards, actually i think marmite told about that one, heaps of options and as for taking the bus, i did that once ,a very long time ago, now i prefer the comfort of a cab, the sanity justifies the price! |

| Stayed in a slightly larger room w/ no window for 600 in Jomtien a few months ago. Jomtien seems to run a bit cheaper than Pattaya and it's really not that far away. |

| These days it's really not necessary to get trapped in a pit like that. Do some research on the internet. Most of the hotel booking websites have review sections, and then there's sites such as tripadvisor.com A little effort and you might be able to find places like this, where I stayed last weekend ![]() ![]() |

| 1K for that broom closet - you gotta be joking....300 tops. But wait, noting the glasses in paper bags and the toilet paper... I'd go 320 I'm always careful with the rotables they put in "sanitized for your convenice bags" since an experince in Bali a few years ago and saw a house maid wipe the rim of the toilet then proceed to polish the glassware (then put it in the "sanitized FYC " ) with the same rag !! BCS - so what's the name and location of your palace?? |

| For what it's worth, I endeavour to stay at the Birds & Bees Resort ( formerly Cabbages & Condoms ) whenever a weekend at Pattaya beckons. At approx 2300 Bt it must offer tremendous value. The pool, grounds and private beach area all combine to convince one is almost a million miles away from the tawdry squalor offered by less salubrious areas. And, one is also guaranteed peace and quiet devoid of any chav British scum or other undesirables. The breakfast is particularly civilized. Taken alfresco with fine views one meanders around the buffet stocked with qualty fare augmented by eggs cooked to order and all washed down by unlimited "real" coffee served by delightful girls unjaded by a cynicism so typical of the poor staff trapped in the seedy sois of mainstream Pattaya effluence. The only downside is at times of seasonal celebration children may abound but one can't have everything. |

| Roi Et | Hi, ive since been back and had a larger room around the pool which was pretty good for a extra 400/500 baht (1400 A Night last time i was there), but with the current spell it might be even cheaper, what i like about that location is the Johny Walker bar with live music across the road, so its great for a night away from the usual bars, also the big c and shopping complex is just at the top of the road |
