Mobile phones.....

Will my mobile phone,with a Thai 0ne-2-go SIM card work when I`m in Laos. Or will I have to buy a Laos SIM card ???

Actually, depending on where you are in Laos, you don't need to do anything. Along the river, when you're opposite a Thai town, you can pick up AIS and DTAC really easily.

Last i was there a coupla years ago my Thai sim worked up to the brewery but not beyond, which meant a 10 min ride from Vientiane whenever i wanted to call home.

assuming my mobile phone does`nt work,are Laos SIM cards easily available and how much do they cost ?
Further,which is better in the north east/laos area`s....DTAC or AIS ?
My gf says 1 2 call does`nt work that well in Buriram.
I used a 1 2 call SIM in Buriram a couple of years back and found the coverage very patchy.I used to have to climb onto the gf`s house roof just to make a call and could`nt recieve anything at ground level...
