First trip to the Phillippines, and I have a week in the DollHouse hotel, but don't necessarily want to spend all my time in their establishments.

Can any Angeles residents or frequent flyopeners give me the recommendations for the hottest clubs and the horniest women?

And how far away is Perimeter road, and what's the best way to get there and back? I'm told stumbling around on your tod at night isn't the smartest thing to do in that neck of the woods...

Nice maps from WeFear. While I live in the Philippines, I can't really contribute much since it has been a long time since I have been in AC, and the bar scene changes rapidly. One point worth noting, however (and perhaps WeFear can confirm that this is still the case) is that, unlike Thailand and Manila, once you pay the barfine, the girl is taken care of out of the barfine. Thus, you don't HAVE to pay the girl separately, although a good tip for good service rendered is certainly in order. I generally found AC to be less than half the price of Manila, or maybe even less than that. That includes hotels, food, drinks, etc. Set a price with a tuk driver before you head off - you don't want to get into fights with these guys at your destination - you won't win. AC can be a fun place, and I have had many a good night there over the years. But, it can also be dangerous - stay out of arguments with the locals, and act in a civilized manner, and you should have no problems. Enjoy!

Your hotel is inside Balibago so you have everything at walking distance.
Balibago is way smaller than Pattaya , imagine just Walking Street and the nearby sois.
The Perimeter is a road about 2 km long with some scattered bars , you can go there by jeepney (8 pesos) or trike (50-70 pesos).

I can't give fresh advices as I visited AC just once, for 3 weeks in Dec 2006 .
I purchased only in the blow job bars in Santos Street where I paid 600 pesos per head. Here in Pattaya I like the freelancers scene, was quite disappointed from the almost null/horrible (ladyboys) one in AC.
In all the other places apparently the short time does not exist and the only option was an all inclusive long time bar fine of 1,200 pesos.

WeFear: Super browsing site. Read only the sections on barfines and do's and don't, but they were right on the money.

Went back in that site, and read the sections on "First Nite in AC" and the one on drink and barfine prices in a large number of bars. Again, quite good. One of the bars he recommends in "First Nite" is the Roadhouse, on Fields Ave. I always used to start my run there. Quiet, clean, well-run - lots of local guys drop in for Happy Hour. A good place to get an initial feel for the street and basic survival information. A bit tamer than many, but a good oasis/port in the storm.

Sent a text to my mate, who is an Aussie bar manager in AC. Been there for years; Manila before that. He works in a bar called Golden Nile. It is on the 3rd floor. Look for Martin. He usually gets there around ten PM. He will hook you up and show you around.

For nitetime bars he recommends: La Pasha, Genesis, Neros, Blue Nile and Club Asia.

For daytime bars he recommends: On perimeter Road near the Clarkton Hotel - Lost in Asia, Roadies, and Wee George's.

And I still think Roadhouse is a good orientation point. Ask for Frank or Girlie.

To all who replied, especially Wefear and Davis. I will now go and read the PI at night site for more detailed info.

The ST/LT thing doesn't normally bother me, as I'm not really one for ST. In fact, if I find someone I like, I prefer the GFE, and they also tend to act as tour guide and interpreter, so I'm happy to barfine for a week if need be.

One thing that does seem prevalent in Angeles for the newbie is getting stitched up by freelancers. Why does that sound familiar!

Only the technique is more sophisticated and damaging, in that it involves the feds as well - seems to involve freelancers inviting their friends in, who disappear into the bathroom minutes before the filth arrive and arrest you for having a naked minor in your room. BIG money to get out of it.

Having said that, I don't touch freelancers in LoS either, not least because of the medical risks!

For my money, the hottest club on Fields Ave is Club Atlantis... 150+ girls on duty and some right stunners...

I always Like to pick up the freelancers and they are all over the place, you just cant miss out there Harrybacaruda.
