    Thai tourists to Northern Cyprus

Anyone know from first hand experience whether Thais can visit Northern Cyprus without a visa?

    Do you have any links?

The only link I could find is for mainland Turkey which controls Northern Cyprus and allows Thais in visa-free for 30 days

Looks like Thais need a visa.

Source - Cyprus Visa : Countries whose citizens are required an entry visa to Cyprus

Scroll down to #118 and you will see Thailand...

You can apply by post, if you so wish.

All of the information required (with downloadable application visa form) is on the link above.

    Thanks Bogon.

However, that is for Greek Cyprus which is within the EU Schengen area. I am looking at an Autumn visit to Turkish Cyprus, the northern half of the island. I emailed the Turkish embassy in Bkk a week ago but they have not replied

Interestingly, the land inside the red border lines is UK territory.

From reading this unless you are Nigerian or Armenian looks like no visa required.

^ That is what I found a week ago hence my email to the Turkish embassy to confirm.

Thais can definitely visit Turkey without a visa so I presume they can visit Northern Cyprus too, but it's not always straightforward. For example a UK visa doesn't give automatic entry to Gibraltar.

You will find no visa required if you are flying to Northern Cyprus via Turkey.

Thanks. There didn't used to be any flights into Ercan Airport from anywhere other than Turkey.

We are looking forward to spending a couple of weeks in Kyrenia in October. I love the effect the photographer has put on this shot, unless it is an actual painting.
