Cowardly Fortuner driver runs away from accident, Bar owner dies.

The early morning collision between a motorcycle and a four-wheel drive URV resulted in the tragic death of a Briton in Pattaya. The Thai Fortuner driver, who was overtaking at the time, maintained she had not seen the motorcycle approaching in the opposite lane until it was too late.

Pattaya, 18 March 2010, [PDN]: At 2.00am, Police Lieutenant Colonel Jakkarin Toursuphap (Pattaya Police Investigator) was notified of an accident between a car and motorbike, which resulted in the death of the foreign motorcyclist. The incident occurred in front of Mike Orchid Villa in Soi Khao Noi, Moo10, Pattaya. The police officer, along with rescue personnel of the Sawangboriboon Foundation, duly rushed to the incident scene to investigate.

At the scene, the team discovered the dead body of Mr. Lee Spencer [41] a British national, who had been wearing a black round-neck T-shirt and white jeans. He had sustained a broken neck, and broken right leg. Nearby was his black Honda Wave motorbike, a complete write-off. Next to it was a grey-bronze Toyato Fortuner with frontal damage, whose driver, Miss Somjai Jaithad [45], was apprehensively standing by, waiting to provide a statement to the police.

Miss Jaithad explained that whilst she was driving home in Soi Khao Noi, she had swung out into the right-hand lane in order to overtake another car beside her. Unfortunately, there was a motorbike speeding towards her that she only noticed at the last moment, too late to avoid a crash. Sadly, Mr. Spencer had no chance to avoid the collision and was killed outright.

Mr. Spencer’s body was taken for autopsy and the British Embassy will be notified of his death accordingly.

I was driving down Soi Rang Nam in BKK today and had 3 pick ups up pull out in front of me and flash their lights in order to tell me to move over or they'll smash me head on.

Such a lovely driving culture.

RIP Lee... You will be missed...

Many become callous when this sort of thing happens, until it happens to someone you know...

Why is she able to say that he was speeding? She (or her husband if the rumours are true) couldn't know that I hope the BIB get it sorted and really make her and the other farang pay (not just money) fuckers

I just arrived back from a evening whereby all present toasted the life of a great person and the Darkside will never be the same again without Lees' presence.

I will not quote what I have heard about who was driving the vehicle as this will not bring Lee back and its best to give support to the loved one's left behind.

RIP Lee. We will miss you mate.

The accident happened not 50 metres uphill from his bar and he would of been lucky to be driving at walking speed.

Never understand why fkwits like this don't have patience when they are driving. How many seconds would you save by over-passing another vehicle? Now its cost someone else's life and brought down a rain of misery.

Mate accidents happen and nobody can blame anyone from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Purely and simply bad luck unfortunately but speeding?, Lee was not.........impossible..........and if the BIB cannot work out that this bitch was lying then I'm ready to pack my fucking bags tomorrow.

^I have no idea but I was real happy that we had some TD representation with Pickel, Rawlins, myself and a surprise visit by Extras.

In the end a great turnout for a great bloke.

I agree. I think it's a certain personality type that has this problem. They aren't even thinking about what they are doing. I had a girlfriend years ago that drove like that. I would yell at her, "WHAT IS THE HURRY!"...and she would have no response.
