At 00.25 am on 9th July 2009, Pattaya Deputy Superintenent Police Lt. Jumras Thongjinda, was notified that a male tourist used several credit cards, each with different names in South Pattaya shops. A Police team was sent to investigate.

At the ‘Yes Boss’ shop located on 27/3 South Pattaya area, police were told by the staff that a man had attempted to use a fake credit card to purchase some clothes. The card machine, reported the cardto be a fake and the name on the card was different from the name in his passport. The man, on being told of the descrepency, rushed out of the shop.

On searching the area, Police found the suspect in the New Sun Moon Fashion at 27/7. The officials asked to see his Passport, which identified the man as Mr. Treach Agabrah aged 29 and a Ghana national. .Three credit cards were found in his wallet.

City Bank Credit card no.4550 4600 xxxx, in the name of Jennifer Moore
City Bank Credit card no.4629 8600 1327 xxxx, in the name of Daniel Scott.
Standard Charter Credit card no. 4258 2845 2275 xxxx, in the name of Sasithorn Cheungsuwan.

The police also found a card slip showing he had spent 10,000 baht on the card no. 4550 4600 xxxx in the name of Jennifer Moore.

On being questioned, Mr Treach Agabrah could not answer the questions put to him saying, that his English was not very good. He claimed that the cards were not stolen nor were they fake and they belonged to him.
