| Thai burglar falls asleep on the job Thai burglar falls asleep on the job BANGKOK, THAILAND Jul 03 2009 12:36 A Thai thief broke into a house but promptly fell asleep inside before stealing anything and was eventually discovered by a housemaid on Friday morning, police told Agence France-Presse. Prachak Jarkngooloem (24) was found at a house in the coastal resort of Pattaya, 150km south of Bangkok, where he admitted planning to steal goods from the property. "He told police that he entered the house yesterday evening [Thursday] hoping to steal something but he was tired and sleepy because he argued with his girlfriend the previous night and went for a drink with friends, so he slept," Lieutenant Colonel Ruengwit Rakchart of Pattaya police said. "He did not get anything because the maid found him and informed the police," Ruengwit added. He said police were forced to break into the home when Prachak locked himself in after realising he had been caught by the maid and tried to buy time to escape. Ruengwit said the burglar would be charged with trespassing at night and attempting to steal goods, offences which carry a prison term of five years. -- AFP mg.co.za

| must of been a beefy thai maid to stop a 24 yo male. with 5 years at risk, the dick must of been insanely stupid if he couldn't figure a way out either via the door she came in or back out his bust in point. oh well, failures of a newbie. |

| My father told me a story He came home late one night and after entering quietly as usual he heard a noise in his bedroom. Going to the drinks cabinet he brought out a bottle of whiskey and some glasses and sat down at the dinning room table adjacent to his bedroom. Anyway out came the Kamoey and froze on seing my father Before any violence could take place he was offered a drink After consuming a great deal of alcohol the kamoey started to become romorsefull and tears fell from his eyes. He explained that he had no money and that he did not know how he was going to feed his children. My father then gave him 200 bht(1972). At which point he handed over all the items he had rumaged from the house and left saying he did not know how he could say sorry and be thankfull enough. I don't think that would happen in these times here in Thailand |
