THAI to sue PAD for Bt20 billion

THAI to sue PAD for Bt20 billion

Thai Airways International will sue People's Alliance for Democracy for compensation, for the revenue losses of Bt20 billion during the 8-day closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Transport permanent secretary Surachai Thansitthipon, as chairman of the national airline, said after the board's meeting on Wednesday that during the closure, THAI had to cancel all scheduled flights.

Good luck with that - Thai can look forward to occupation of Court buildings on hearing days, occupation of their offices, planes and, perhaps, the airport again.

Thai should talk to some of the big money supporters that lined the pockets of the protesters and see if they will cough it up.

I've never liked flying Thai Airways ever since 2001 on the way to London on a night flight they decided at the last minute that they weren't going to show the in-flight movie and following programmes.

The staff are generally rude, stuck up, incompetent and full of themselves.

Thai Air had their heyday years ago, now they just living off past glories.

I found the service in Thai airways extremely courteous and so much better than Swiss which was voted by some mag as the worlds #1 airline..
But I only flew with them twice and that was 15 months ago so..
I only hope international airlines join Thai Airways, ofc the chances of sueing them succesfully are really small but it gives a strong signal anyway.

These ideals of pursuing civil damages instead of attempting to charge the group with terrorism......highly unlikely that any of such suits will amount to anything - good try though.
