I'm not so sure they're really accepted by most people here in the Philippines. As in Thailand, they serve as objects of amusement on mindless TV shows, but otherwise are generally employed in hair stylist places, makeup counters and such. There is no real acceptance that I see, but I'm sure Grace or Katie are far better than I to comment.

You must be blind and possibly a little retarded, ....not only have listed various places they can be employed, but many of the big hotels employ ladyboy and place them front and centre on reception or other customer facing positions, and many other large Thai companies employ lb in sales and other customer facing positions.

Now, name one other western country that does the same?

That is before we get to the fact that lb in Thailand can generally walk down the street free of abuse or ridicule.

You claimed many parts of Asia not just one country as in Thailand. If as usual you made a mistake and just meant 1 or 2 countries as opposed to many parts of Asia then I'm happy as always to correct you.
