BANGKOK, 3 April 2019 (NNT) - The Prime Minister has urged the authorities to assist persons affected from the collapse of Din Daeng flats, ordered investigation into the cause to prevent repetition in the future.

Assistant Government Spokesman Col Athisit Chainuwat revealed the Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has been informed regarding the collapse of National Housing Authority’s flats in Din Daeng community yesterday, from which he ordered related agencies to give affected persons assistance.

Military officers from Din Daeng District peace and order unit and officials from the National Housing Authority have started the inspection of collapsed building to process the removal.

Officials will be working with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Din Daeng district volunteers unit to assist affected persons. The volunteers will be working with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Din Daeng police station, and Din Daeng district office to remove crushed vehicles, damaged electricity poles, and the rubble.

The Prime Minister has expressed his concerns for the general public, reassuring affected persons will receive compensation according to the regulations, while related agencies will investigate to find the cause to prevent similar accidents to repeat in the future.

Yep. Soldiers can do anything, especially when the CiC has done a parachute jump and therefore can make qualified decisions on everything.
