SARABURI, 18 December 2018 (NNT) – A Cosmos Flower field has become Saraburi’s latest tourist attraction.

Located next to Phra Buddha Bat Noi Mountain in Kaeng Koi district of Saraburi, Tung Sirisamai has grown in popularity through word of mouth alone. Visitors have flocked to the field to witness the beauty of its blooming flowers as well as to snap pictures of the 6,400 square meter plot set against a mountain backdrop. Visitors to the attraction noted they especially appreciate that it is not yet a major destination and hidden from the wider public.

Volunteer caretaker of the field, Sukcheewa Saengduan , explained the field began in 2017 in devotion to Aj. Ajcharawadee Wongsakon , a revered Buddhist theologian. The field was to serve as a place of relaxation for the respected Buddhist teacher and social worker. However, the speaker saw the field’s potential as a winter time tourist attraction and expressed a wish to have it benefit the surrounding community and Saraburi, especially as locals had helped to protect Phra Buddha Bat Noi from being sold to investors for concrete production.

The field has been converted into a place of leisure with a coffee shop as well as a Buddhist souvenir store. Locals sell their plants and produce in the area, which is to be open until December 30 this year and again from January 4-6 next year.

How long before it is trampled into the dirt by a bunch of selfie-taking chimps?

Copycat of copycats...I see the same tourist attractions everywhere... Flower fields - this kind or the yellow ones or sunflowers - water markets dinosaurs parks, any fairs and markets displaying the same items...

Looking at the bright side, you don't have to travel far to see those attractions as there are probably a copycat nearby if you don't live in the sticks

I didn't see either of those but it did look like they were in the process of building something else there.
