SAKAEO, 8th July 2018 (NNT) - The annual butterfly watching festival in northeastern Sa Kaeo province began this weekend.

At the official start of the festival, more than 10 butterfly floats were launched on Suwannasorn street in Muang district of Sa Kaeo province on Saturday.

The Pang Sida Butterfly Watching Festival 2018 also presented various other activities, including the Butterfly Night Market and the award presentation for winners of painting, poetry, Miss/Master Butterfly and butterfly float competitions.

For the opening ceremony, the organizer set up a simulated garden to depict the night-time butterfly watching experience for revelers to enjoy.

The festival, an annual event at the Pang Side National Park, has been a good opportunity for visitors to enjoy seeing more than 500 types of butterflies that usually come out to show off their beautiful wings during the months of May to August.
