Exiled prince calls for coup in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Prince Khaled Bin Farhan says his uncles must overthrow the Kingdom's regime before even more damage is done
May 23, 2018 at 11:50 am
An exiled members of the Saudi royal family has called on his uncles to overthrow King Salman “irrational, erratic and stupid” rule and take over control of the country.
Prince Khalid Bin Farhan told Middle East Eye in an interview that if his uncles were to stage a coup against Salman, “99 per cent of the members of the royal family, the security services and the army would stand behind them.” He stressed that a “change of the ruler himself or the figurehead that rules Saudi Arabia” is what is needed for the country and not just reforms under the current monarch.
He made the appeal to Prince Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz and Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, adding that the damage being done to Saudi Arabia will be beyond repair.
“There is so much anger within the royal family,” he was quoted by Middle East Eye as saying. “I took this information and appeal to my uncles Ahmed and Muqrin, who are the sons of Abdulaziz and are highly educated, well versed and able to change things for the better. I can say that we are all behind them and support them.”
Prince Khaled, who was born to a Saudi father and an Egyptian mother, was given political asylum in Germany in 2013.

Trump says the first lady is ‘doing great.’ She hasn’t been seen in public for two weeks.
by Emily Heil May 25
"First lady Melania Trump, who spent five nights in the hospital following a kidney procedure, has been out of public view for 15 days running — an unusually long absence even for a first lady who relishes life outside the spotlight.
The first lady was last seen on May 10 standing alongside her husband at Joint Base Andrews as the couple greeted three Americans who had been released from prison in North Korea. On May 14, the White House announced that she had undergone a successful embolization procedure at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to treat a benign kidney condition.
Although medical experts have said the kind of procedure the first lady had typically requires only a night’s hospitalization, White House and East Wing aides have said nothing more about her condition and instead asked for privacy."

The procedure may be what most call, removing a kidney stone.

Saudi Arabia is the world’s top oil exporter. Prospects that it and top producer Russia could boost output have put downward pressures on prices.
“Prime Minister May and the crown prince noted the importance of stability in the oil markets, which they said was in the interests of both consumers and producers,” a statement said. They spoke by telephone on Saturday.

German firms eye extensive coop. with Iran after US JCPOA pullout
MNA – The executive director of German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (VDW) Wilfried Schäfer on Monday said that German companies are vehemently interested in continuing activity in Iran’s lucrative market after US pullout from JCPOA.
"In spite of US pullout from JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), he emphasized that international community should take decisive steps to maintain global order and counter the US unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran, he said, adding, “we are deeply interested in continuing our activities in Iran’s profitable market, so we are waiting for the clear-cut announcement of EU political position in this respect.”
Speaking in press briefing on the sidelines of AMB IRAN 2018 (International Industrial and Metalworking Technologies Exhibition), Schäfer pointed to the latest situation of this company for having presence in Iranian market in the wake of US withdrawal from JCPOA and said, “organizers of this prestigious exhibition, i.e. Messe Stuttgart and German Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (VDW) should adopt joint decisions in this regard.”
“We expect EU to throw its heavyweight on Iran in this respect, so that organizers of AMB Iran 2018 must inform this significant issue to its member companies precisely,” Schäfer maintained.
Schäfer termed the US unilateral pullout from JCPOA ‘injustice and unwise’ and called on the international community to take logical steps in order to maintain global order.
For his part, CEO of Shahr-e Aftab International Exhibition Mohammad Ra’oouf Ghaderi said that exhibition industry has never been sanctioned. So far, more than 140 exhibition booths from 12 countries are ready to take part in this prestigious exhibition including Iran, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Japan, Czech Republic and Russia.
The exhibition can pave suitable ground for joint trade and investment talks in the field of improving and enhancing Iranian industries for transferring technical knowhow and knowledge"
