BANGKOK, 12th May 2018 (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is on course to remove illegal-installed signs along the city’s streets.
Deputy Governor of Bangkok Sakoltee Phattiyakul along with officials from the BMA and officers from the City Law Enforcement Department and the Chatuchak District Office have been inspecting signs installed around Central Department Store Ladprao.
The inspection tour was initiated after Bangkok Governor Pol. Maj. Gen. Assawin Khwanmuang ordered all related offices to take action against any signs, which have not received official permits to be put up in public places.
The area of Chatuchak was chosen as the first stop on the tour because there have been a large number of complaints about signs suspected of being illegally installed.
Officials identified over 50 such signs along Phahonyothin Road that are now to be removed.
The BMA has instructed all 50 districts offices to complete the inspection mission within a week.
