Police were tracking down a school van driver who reportedly killed a motorcyclist and damaged two Mercedes-Benz and other property in a hot-tempered search overnight for a girl friend who dumped him.The events were reported to local police about 12.30am. The school van driver, identified later as Warot Chusang, 36, first drove his vehicle to an apartment building in Taling Chan district, Bangkok, looking for his estranged girlfriend, Thai media reported. The woman had reportedly left him, fed up with his jealousy-inspired violence, and went to stay with her mother there.
According to local resident Thaweesap Mankit, 37, the man was shouting and making a scene in front of the building, acting like he was drunk, and disturbing people in the area. When he received no response, he drove the van farther down the alley and tried to make a U-turn, but hit a parked motorcycle, reports said.
On finally completing the U-turn, he again hit the already damaged motorcycle and a concrete bench that residents placed there to block him. Then he reversed and hit two parked Mercedes-Benz before finally making his way out of there.
Two local residents chased after the van on a motorcycle. Passing motorist Yos Worachotwong, 36, said he saw the van being chased and then crash into the motorcycle on Kanchanaphisek Road. The crash killed Thitisak Suksujit, 15, instantly and injured Weerapol Sashae, 23.
