BMA cleans main Songkran venue in BKK
BANGKOK, 16 April 2018 (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) on Sunday cleaned roads surrounding Khao San Road where a grand Songkran celebration was held.
Apart from Khao San Road, the roads cleaned by BMA staff include Tanao, Chakkraphong, Krai Si, Sip Sam Hang and Ram Butri. Deputy Director of Phra Nakhon district, Richira Arin, and other executives of the district office joined the cleaning activity.
101.5 tons of waste were collected between 12th and 16th April 2018, an increase of 68 tons compared to last year. 384,000 liters of water were used to clean the roads, a 300% increase on last year.
The BMA used more water to clean the roads this year because some revelers used powder in the area, despite a ban by the government.
